Who doesn't like going topless!
We have been working on a few different rack systems for the Bronco. The roof rack for the person that wants a rack they can hide away when not in use. The roof rails are prefect for a rack there is not much room between the rails and the soft top but we managed to stuff a solid .250" 5052 Aluminum L rail system with up to nine laser cut 1.5"x1.5"x.125" 6061 T6 aluminum cross bars for mounting/tying down.
Rooftop tent in the summer, 4x8 sheets of ply wood, Bikes, kayak/small boat to the beach you name it with dozens of mounting holes and slots just about anything could be attached to it.
THIS is a topless rack so yes you will need to have the top down to use. You can run 2 or 9 crossbars and everything in-between.
when only a few cross bars are used each cross bar has a 100lb dynamic weight rating when evenly loaded across the bars so 90% of the RTT's on the market can be supported by only 3 or 4 cross bars.
The full rack can support nearly half a ton but I wouldn't recommend loading that much up that high.
The racks come powder coated black in our signature thermoplastic powder coating that you can repair with FIRE when your cross bars get scratched from hauling stuff on the rack.
Each Crossbar has 8 .40x4" slots and 7 .40" mounting holes giving you dozens of attachment points. And carriage/bolt locations on the sides.
About 41lbs with all cross bars it's light super low profile and solid.
Rails 7lbs each
Cross bars 3lbs each
Note the Optional Molle cross bar is rated at a lower load than the standard cross bars. We recommend a 75lb max on the Molle panels loaded evenly.
